An <i>economist</i> gives advice to governments and companies about trends in national and world economies.</p> <p>Confusingly, most countries economies are run by a Minister of Finance. The word <i>economical</i> is often used by cutomers to talk about the energy efficiency of products. In times of difficulty, we all have to <i>economise</i>.</p> <p><b><font COLOR="#FF0000" FACE="ARIAL">Finance</font></b></p> <p>When we talk about <i>finance</i>, we usually mean the <i>financial</i> state of a company or an individual. It is often used in the plural - <i>my finances are not too good</i>! Most companies have a <i>Finance Department</i> headed by a <i>Finance Director</i>. This department is responsible for the companies <i>financial</i> situation.
